Polar Regions — Been There

I’ve just about got the polar regions covered, having been to Greenland by dogsled, the Canadian Arctic by small boat, the North Pole on a Russian nuclear-powered icebreaker, some of whose passengers were distressed to learn it had been built by the same people who built Chernobyl, and Antarctica, where on Christmas Eve I attempted to convince my hosts at a Russian research base that “We all live in a Yellow Submarine” is a traditional American Christmas carol.
